What a pleasure it is to welcome each and every one of you to our 20th Anniversary Gala. We expect that our time together on this evening to be festive and entertaining and also one of great promise and possibility. As a school that is now twenty years old, we are poised for a new and exciting stage in our institution’s development. To be sure, our 20th Anniversary Gala will help to usher in a new philosophy of 21st Century Education at Presbyterian School. Your family’s participation in this year’s gala will help us fulfill the important goals that we have for our students at Presbyterian School.
At Presbyterian School, our mission is clear and unique: "Family, School, and Church united in the education and support of each child." A positive school community depends on the participation of so many folks working together to realize the hopes and dreams that we all share for all of our students. On behalf of the Presbyterian School faculty and staff I want to express and extend my heartfelt gratitude for the sacrificial generosity that characterizes our gala. I am humbled by the countless hours of planning and behind-the-scenes work that has gone into this celebration, particularly by this year’s Gala Chair, Catherine Hanslik.
A mentor of mine has said on more than one occasion, "Great philanthropy makes great schools." There is no doubt in my mind that tonight’s event is great philanthropy . . . at its creative (and fun-filled!) best. Enjoy the evening and thank you again for sharing such a special time with us.
